Your contact form should not cost $39 a month.

If your Typeform is really a contact, lead or waitlist form, you are paying for a builder you may not need. FormDrop is a flat-priced form backend: keep a simple form on your own site and get every submission in your dashboard and inbox.

Why people are looking

Typeform's Trustpilot page shows a TrustScore of 2.7 from 786 reviews, with 22% of reviews at one star (as displayed on 30 Oct 2026). Recent one-star reviews focus on price, response limits and renewal charges. One review dated 15 Oct 2026 says: “I purchased a 1-month plan, but they charged me for 3 months”, and that support said the extra charges were automatic renewals. Trustpilot does not verify individual claims, and Typeform replied offering to review that case. Read the reviews on Trustpilot.

Typeform's own billing FAQ says cards are charged automatically at the start of each new billing cycle, and its pricing page says cancellation takes effect at the end of the prepaid period. None of that is unusual for software. It does mean the renewal date is yours to track.

When to stay on Typeform

Stay if you need conversational one-question-at-a-time forms, branching logic, payments, file uploads or a no-code builder hosted for you. FormDrop does none of those. It does one job: receive the forms on your site, filter spam, and deliver them to you and your tools.

Switching in about ten minutes

  1. Export your Typeform responses as CSV and keep the file.
  2. Copy the contact form template, or use your site's existing form markup. Guides for 35 frameworks are in the docs.
  3. Create a FormDrop form, paste its endpoint into the form's action and send a test.
  4. Replace the Typeform embed or link. Cancel Typeform before its next renewal date.

Questions before switching

Is FormDrop a drop-in Typeform replacement?
No. Typeform is a hosted form builder with conversational layouts, logic, payments and file uploads. FormDrop is a form backend: you keep a form on your own website and FormDrop receives, filters and stores the submissions. If you need a hosted, no-code form builder, FormDrop is not the right tool.
Who is FormDrop a good fit for?
Anyone whose Typeform is really a contact, lead, waitlist or feedback form on a site they control. Paste a plain HTML form (we have accessible templates), point it at your FormDrop endpoint and new submissions land in your dashboard and inbox.
How does FormDrop billing work?
Free covers 250 submissions a month with no card. Pro is €5 a month billed monthly, or €49 a year. Cancel any time from the Stripe billing portal. Lifetime Pro is €59 once, with no recurring subscription, limited to the first 100 licences. VAT may apply and is shown at checkout.
What happens when I go over my allowance?
You get a 10% grace allowance and we email you at 80% and at the limit. After that, new submissions are held for 7 days instead of being lost; upgrade within that window and they move into your inbox.
Can I bring my Typeform responses with me?
Export your responses from Typeform as CSV or XLSX and keep that file. FormDrop does not import historical responses; it starts collecting from the moment your new form goes live.
What does FormDrop not do yet?
File uploads are not stored, there is no visual form builder, no payment questions and no conditional logic. Outbound webhooks get one delivery attempt with no automatic retry.
